I'm living in the US and I can see a lot of people here asking why is Kim Yuna not mentioned here. Kim Yuna is seriously the top legend in Korea, but overseas, there's not that many who knows her if you ask about herㅜㅜ Director Bong Joonho, BTS, Son Heungmin are seriously being mentioned on a day to day basis here (in schools or in offices) they're that famous. And winter sports don't get mentioned as often as movies, entertainment or soccer on a daily basis either, so it's possible that she's not mentionedㅎㅎ It's like us not being that aware of foreign athletes in winter games. However, I'm not saying that Kim Yuna should be disregarded, she's always going to be the queen Yuna in my heart, but I'm answering for the many people who are curious here
