On May 12, Girls' Generation's Seohyun attended a press conference for her new drama "Bad Thief, Good Thief". You know, the talented female idol has shown her good acting ability through several TV dramas, but it's the first time for her to play a lead role in a weekend soap opera. Q. Your new drama will begin to air soon. How do you feel?
Seohyun: I think I'm so lucky to appear in such a great drama. I play an attractive character who got some guts, and I really wanted to play such a character. You will be able to see a different side of me in the drama, and I feel a mixture of excitement and anxiousness now. I'll do my best.
Q. It's the first time for you to play a lead role in a weekend soap opera. Don't you feel pressured?
Seohyun: I feel heavily responsible. But I don't think it's bad because I usually get a driving force when I feel pressured. My aim is to be acknowledged as a great actress.
Q. Some people still blame idols who play lead roles in TV dramas. What do you think about it?
Seohyun: Well, it's a matter of course because idols do not have much experience in acting. That's why I feel heavily responsible. The better to do, I will do my best.
Q. Your team mates Yoona and Sooyoung will appear in their new dramas soon too. Is there a sense of rivalry among you three?
Seohyun: We usually don't talk about ratings, and I just hope all of the members will achieve success. We have our chat room, and we always support each other. Before coming to this press conference, all the members sent me a message of support.
Q. What do you think of your partner Ji Hyunwoo?
Seohyun: His presence makes me feel confident. I know he's a great actor, and I'm so excited to act together with him.
